Rosario Rodriguez is a healthcare executive, entrepreneur, and elected leader with
deep roots in the Sacramento region. A daughter of Mexican immigrants, she spent
over 24 years in healthcare before opening Sutter Street Taqueria in Folsom, inspired
by her Bay Area upbringing. Elected to Folsom City Council in 2020 as the city’s first
Latina councilwoman and later mayor, she focused on homelessness, budgeting, and
economic development. In 2024, she was elected to the Sacramento County Board of
Supervisors, where she represents District 4 and prioritizes homelessness, public
safety, transportation, and regional collaboration. Rosario combines her business and
public service experience to advocate for balanced growth and stronger partnerships
between government, businesses, and communities.
